Questa villa è in corso di realizzazione ad Oil Nut Bay, uno dei più suggestivi contesti paesaggistici delle Isole Vergini Inglesi, dove su iniziativa di un illuminato imprenditore americano, sta nascendo un complesso residenziale molto esclusivo. A tutela dell’integrità del paesaggio, l’edificazione delle poche privilegiate residenze deve rispettare regole molto severe in tema di impatto ambientale. L’integrazione con la natura, dal punto di vista di Architettura360, non è però soltanto mimesi: per questo motivo tutti gli elementi del progetto di questa villa - il layout generale, le grandi aperture, i camini di luce, i materiali di finitura – hanno innanzitutto il fine di creare, in chi vi abiterà, un sentimento di simbiosi permanente con la natura circostante. Anche gli spazi esterni ed i percorsi di collegamento tra la villa principale e le guest rooms sono stati concepiti per offrire, a chi li percorre prima di un tuffo in piscina o per raggiungere la piccola spiaggia privata, una percezione del paesaggio fatta di scorci e vedute sempre diversi, che si aprono tra i rami di una profumata e colorata vegetazione. La stimolazione ed il nutrimento dei sensi, tattile e visivo innanzitutto, sono alla base del benessere e del relax e costituiscono l’asse portante nel progetto di questa acropoli di pace.

PRIVATE VILLA AT OIL NUT BAY_ Virgin Gorda (BVI)

This villa is under construction at Oil Nut bay, one of the most astonishing landscape of British Virgin Islands. On the initiative of an enlightened American contractor, an exclusive  residential complex is being born there. To protect the environment, the building of the privileged few residences must to respect severe rules. Architettura360 pursues the idea that integration with nature is not only a form of imitation: therefore, all the elements of the project of this villa – the general layout, the wide windows, the “chimneys of light”, the finishing – contribute to creating a feeling of permanent harmony with surrounding nature. Materials, shapes and light stimulate and nourish senses, visual and tactile first of all. Outside spaces and paths, connecting the main villa with the independent guest rooms, have been conceived as well to offer continuously changing views over the bay  among perfumed and coloured vegetation to those who are going to the pool or to the private beach. Stimulation and nourishment of the senses  - sight and touch mainly - are the basis of relax and wellbeing:  they represent the fundamental concept in designing this “acropolis” of peace.
